Pipe & Cable HeapCable and wire scrap is one of our core metal categories, generated from electrical rewiring, industrial maintenance, IT infrastructure changes and equipment decommissioning. Scrap India Mart purchases copper and aluminium cable, wire harness and related electrical scrap in bulk.
Cable and wire scrap value depends heavily on the copper or aluminium content relative to the insulation weight, which varies a lot between building wire, armoured cable and control cabling. We grade each type on-site rather than applying a flat rate, so mixed cable loads are priced fairly by composition.
Stripping insulated cable before sale can improve the rate per kilogram, but it is not required — we accept both stripped bare copper and insulated cable, pricing insulated cable lower to account for the reduced metal content by weight. For larger volumes, we can also advise which grades benefit most from stripping before pickup.
Organised for large volumes rather than one-off household quantities.
Cable, wire and electrical scrap is generated from construction, facility upgrades, decommissioning and electrical maintenance work. We purchase copper and aluminium cable, wiring and related electrical scrap in bulk.
Pricing based on material, grade, quantity and current market conditions.
Pickup timing coordinated around your site's working hours.
A single point of contact from enquiry to clearance.
Cable and wire scrap is priced mainly on copper or aluminium content, so the same length of cable can be valued very differently depending on core material and insulation thickness. Bare copper wire fetches the highest rate, while PVC or rubber-insulated cable is priced lower to account for the non-metal weight. Multi-core and armoured cable is assessed by estimating the metal-to-insulation ratio rather than a single blanket rate.
Electrical panels, switchgear and control panels removed during a rewiring or demolition project are also purchased, usually assessed on-site since they combine metal, wiring and sometimes components with separate value.
Share your scrap category, estimated quantity and location by phone, WhatsApp or the enquiry form.
We arrange a convenient time to inspect the material, in person or from the photos you share.
You receive a valuation based on material type, grade, quantity and current market conditions.
Once agreed, pickup and clearance is scheduled at a time that works for your site.
Bare bright copper wire was graded fairly and payment matched the quoted rate exactly.
Bulk cable offcuts from our installation work were picked up promptly with no minimum quantity hassle.
Good transparency on how they grade copper vs mixed wire scrap before finalising the rate.
Cable and wire scrap is purchased from electrical contractors and installation sites across Whitefield, Sarjapur Road, HSR Layout and Marathahalli.
Yes, copper and aluminium cable scrap are among our primary categories.
Yes, wire harness from vehicles or equipment is purchased as part of this category.
Yes, industrial cables and electrical wiring from maintenance or decommissioning are accepted.
Valuation depends on metal content, insulation type, quantity and current market conditions.
No, stripping isn't required — cable is graded and priced based on estimated copper/aluminium content as-is.
Yes, panels and switchgear removed during renovation or decommissioning are purchased and assessed on-site.
Yes, decommissioned electrical panels, switchgear and control cabling are purchased alongside general cable and wire scrap.
Yes, armoured and control cables are graded separately since their copper-to-insulation ratio differs from standard building wire.
